Feminism - thoughts by a man (2)

Why is it so troublesome to some men who call themselves 'pro-feminist' that some feminist women want nothing to do with them? They have their reasons! Why not simply work with other men, on reducing male violence or whatever; or with women who are happy to work with men?

Conversely, if you are working with men / boys only and claiming to be pro-feminist, then yes it is essential to keep in touch with women's perspectives, or else how can you know whether they consider what you do to be of benefit?

That said, I do think that feminists who want men to support the cause are often far from clear what role they think men should play. And that confuses 'willing' men who haven't yet decided for themselves.
